For those of you who live on another planet, just to let you know the Israelis are out on one of their butchering sprees in Gaza. 54 killed and counting, amongst them 7 children. Of course all the borders in and out of Gaza are closed so there's no escape from the prison, hence the title of this post.
In other news, the Americans have sent their ship to cruise our coast, and the Lebanese await the repercussions of a canceled or failed Arabic Summit in Damascus. We also seem to be waiting for some sort of war, whether civil (from the inside) or uncivil (from the outside) is yet to be decided.

I think we can safely say that hope has now been reduced to mere "wishful thinking".
